Work. Quidditch. Weddings. There, I've joined the masses and written about the same tedious things everyone else has. Honestly, you lot might provide some free entertaining. At least Pucey's vile ranting is amusing.
Though, I do admit that the image of Potter yelping like a small dog has had me chuckling for days.

I am happy to report that the hellbeast (Livia, is that what we decided I'd call it?) I recently purchased is actually capable of carrying post - and that if he's fed like a lion, he'll also leave off attempting to eat either my fingers, or my other owl.
Obviously, this week has been rather underwhelming. I did receive the new season announcement from the Rastrick Theater of Painswick, though. It seems as if they're being rather ambitious this season.

For what it's worth, I'm quite pleased but not at all surprised that my parents have never seen fit to attempt to force me into something half as barbaric as an arranged marriage. They do still exist within our level of society, of course, but generally as a last resort and only among those families who are, for whatever reason, grasping suddenly at the lower rungs of the social ladder and hoping to claw their ways back up it. Quite pathetic, really, to not have better avenues for social climbing than to force off your children into unhappy matches.
Unless, of course, there is something inherently disgraceful about the children themselves, and at least in the Greengrass family I don't have reason to believe that's the case. As for the Higgs, I have to admit I find it unsettling to feel sorry for someone who so recently publicly attempted to threaten my life, but there it is.

Finally Falmouth manages to make a good showing of things. A bit late, as they should have opened even the pre-season that way - and beating the Arrows is a bit like taking on a team of toddlers on hovering brooms, particularly when it was only a lucky catch from the Seeker and the Arrows were willing quite decidedly for the majority of the game.
Honestly, who has financial stakes in the franchise this season? They ought to be thinking about some changes.

I'm still torn about how best to make my charitable contribution this weekend. At present, it's a toss up between buying any Falmouth players and sending them for extra training in order to insure that the disappointment of the Arrows game isn't repeated - and buying any Holyhead players who may come up and forcing them to learn to do housework, which would be far preferable to having to endure their attempts to play Quidditch another season.
